It's generally well known that when attempting to take pictures, you take several shots and hope one of them will turn out well. The probability of one good shot decreases with the number of subjects. It plummets if any of those subjects are children or animals, both because they are less likely to behave, and because they have less patience and so fewer shots are taken. So without further ado, this is my favorite shot from our family's attempt to take pictures yesterday. It's such a day-in-the-life shot.
This one's a little tamer. I just need to play with the brightness and exposure level a bit. It would have been almost perfect if we could have convinced Monty to look at the camera, rather than trying to follow whatever scent he caught, but that's who he is.

You know what? I really love the first picture. Now THERE you have a family who is busy, on the move, and living. You all look wonderful!
Here you have been busy with raising a preemie and jumping through so many medical hoops, and you've already taken a new family picture. You're about 5 steps ahead of me, it seems!
I can never seem to get brightness issues resolved either.
No pressure, Becky. We just had to take advantage of the really good weather, that's all. We've had a fantastically beautiful weekend, otherwise, I might still be putting this off!
Nice job! Our last family picture was beginning of December last year. No Dasha. And she still has never had a "real" picture taken. Oh well.
Beautiful family. Glad to see you still get to ride or at least see a horse once in awhile. You asked about some of our kids. Gary is in Cedar City, Pam and Jeff in Vegas and everyone else is here. We are blessed to have them so close but REALLY miss the three families (which include 8 of the 11 grandkids!) jan
